Welcome to the blog tour for Amy Vastine's 2nd book in her Chicago Sisters series, The Best Laid Plans! I'm so stoked to finally get to tell you how much I love this story. Some information you'll need: “Don’t worry about it. I got them a babysitter.” Max nodded behind him. Standing out like a sore thumb amongst all the servers dressed in black stood Max’s neighbor, Charlie. He was a giant, probably six foot four, and had on jeans and a Chicago Cubs T-shirt. Charlie taking the boys was not part of the plan. The Book: Emma Everhart's life is going according to plan. Finish nursing school with flying colours… Check. Get a great job in the ER… Check. Marry a handsome doctor and have two babies, three years apart… Not quite yet. But with a dreamy new doctor joining the hospital staff, she's so close she can almost taste the wedding cake. Now is not the time to let the tall, dark and flirtatious paramedic Charlie Fletcher distract her! He may be the best date and best kiss she's ever had, but he's definitely not part of her plan. No matter how he makes her feel… GENRE: Adult, Contemporary, Romance (368 pages) RELEASE DATE: March 1, 2015 BUY LINKS: AMAZON | B&N | HARLEQUIN The Excerpt: The Review In this second book of the Chicago Sisters series by Amy Vastine, I found myself falling so hard for Charlie. I adored his nick-names for people (especially Emma) and the fact that he is the baby of his family of nothing but sisters just made me love him even more. I smiled every time he was in a scene (most of them) and I wanted to be Emma, not gonna lie. Especially when he took her to crash a wedding reception. The way Amy has written this tale of how the two of them fall for each other – or rather, how Emma falls for Charlie because he is clearly head over heels when we meet him. I felt it in book one, to be honest, and could not wait to see how this played out. It was awesome, guise. And really, it’s about Emma admitting that she’s fallen for Charlie. Because as the reader, you see it. And you wait patiently for her to catch up with the rest of us. Not to mention I got to witness Max propose to Kendall. I mean come on. More of my already favorites? Yes please. It's no secret, I adore Amy's writing. This series is so much fun. Her personality shines through every page and her characters make me want to call my family up and tell them how much I love them despite our differences. So very much looking forward to Lucy's story. Bring it! Yes. Definitely 5 stars. I don't think Amy is capable of writing anything less to be honest. The Author: Amy Vastine has been plotting stories in her head for as long as she can remember. An eternal optimist, she studied social work, hoping to teach others how to find their silver lining. Now, she enjoys creating happily ever afters for all to read. In September of 2012, she saw a tweet about Harlequin’s So You Think You Can Write contest. She entered, hoping for nothing more than a little feedback from some people in the business. Amazingly, The Weather Girl made it into the semi-finals, thanks to the many wonderful voters out there! The manuscript didn’t make it to the finals, but the editors over Harlequin were still interested. A few revisions later and The Weather Girl was contacted for publication with Harlequin Heartwarming – a dream come true! Amy lives outside Chicago with her high school sweetheart-turned-husband, three fun-loving children, and their sweet but mischievous puppy dog.
